  7. Alexis what a stunning transformation! I have just started the process (literally I had braces put on this week.) I can't believe how the braces have already accentuated my under bite. I'm dreading the next couple months as the under bite progresses. Your blog and others are confirmation that I'm doing the right thing. Thank you for sharing your experience. I've started a blog too (www.doublejawbreaker.blogspot.com).

  8. Hi just thought I'd comment to see how you feel now everything is done. I had my lower jaw osteotomy one week ago and I know your blog was mainly about your upper jaw I still found that ur blog has helped me at the point I'm at. I have a splint in to meet my bite but was wanderig if you had this too and if so did u find ur teeth were sore from constantly clenching? I love the pink brace things lol I didn't have a choice in colour for mine otherwise I would have had pink too haha. You were very lucky to have had everything done under the time scale given to u as I have had my braces on for 3 1/2 years Pre op with my surgery only being last week, I was initially told 1.5 yrs for everything so as u can imagine I'm getting quite bored of braces lol hopefully it won't be much longer til I get mine off for good. I found the surgery fine but taking the tube out of my nose, trying to eat something, etc was horrible. My surgeon didn't discuss do's & dont's with me Pre or post op, not satisfied there. My lower jaw was moved 15mm forward which is huge in jaw terms, there is so much extra gum at the back of my mouth I am wondering how I'm going to be able to eat properly when I'm able to. Guess I'll find out soon enough lol big problem I have is sleeping or lack of it to be honest, I love my sleep and not getting enough due to pain is not fun at all :o( anyways I'm glad your surgery went well for u. I bought my whitening treatment of eBay when I whitened mine for my wedding, braces n all removed (felt awesome may I add but short lived as braces were put back on after two weeks) my teeth were super White and I think it only cost me a few pounds from America. Will be doing the same again when my braces come off later this year I hope.

  9. Wow! Your teeth look beautiful now. I viewed and read some of your previous post and I must say, your transformation is really amazing. Your dentist must be really good! I wish I can have beautiful teeth after I take my vacation in LA this summer. Hope to see your update. Congratulations!

  10. Hi Alexis,
I saw that you had a genioplasty and am just wondering how you decided on that? My surgeon said it's up to me, but I feel like I haven't really figured out how the results will differ if I do or do not get the genio! I know it's not covered under insurance so the extra cost does factor into my decision, but if you could let me know why you got it or what your surgeon said the pros were, that would be great :) thank you!

  13. Would you look at that? This is clearly the effect of having braces and patiently waiting for the results. And obviously, the wait was worth it. This is gorgeous! You wouldn't have a problem smiling any more. Keep smiling!

  14. Nice! The pictures show great improvement in your teeth after wearing those braces. Once your braces have been removed, you can now finally eat normally. Before it’s really difficult for you to eat hard and crunchy food as it can stick to your braces and it might pull the braces off your teeth. Now, it's not a problem anymore! It's surely one of the great things you feel happy about. ;)

  15. It’s always possible to kiss, regardless of which brace you are wearing and no lingual acrobatics are needed! Eating and laughing are perfectly possible too thanks to modern braces.
